Important Notes

Homestead Lake is a Private Lake for Wildwood Acres Members and Registered Guests ONLY. Violators will be considered trespassers and prosecuted as trespass laws permit.

Lake Area Rules

• All guest fishermen must be accompanied by a Wildwood Acres member or the member must be on premises. Guests must have a guest pass.

• All member boats must prominently display a Wildwood Acres logo decal.

• No minnows allowed.

• All posted fishing length and possession limits must be obeyed.

• All watercraft must be equipped with safety devices as required by Iowa DNR boating regulations. All vessels must have a life jacket for everyone on board. Children under 13 must wear life jackets while underway.

• No gasoline motors or internal combustion engines allowed on the lake. Gas-powered ice augers are permitted for drilling holes only and must be stored in containment when not in use.

• No boats may be tied to the dock for an extended period of time.

• No private docks may be constructed on the lake — only Wildwood Acres may construct docks.

• Wildwood Acres members reserve the right to check all fish taken from the lake.

• No swimming allowed in the lake.

• Boats and boat trailers coming from other bodies of water MUST be hosed clean using the hydrant near the dumpsters to prevent invasive species.

• Boat storage area must be kept neat and orderly.

• No loud noises permitted before 8:00 AM or after 11:00 PM.
