About Wildwood Acres

Wildwood Acres is an approximately 1,200-acre area located 14 miles west of Maquoketa, Iowa on Highway E17 near Canton. It features home building sites, campgrounds along the Maquoketa River, a clubhouse with swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, playground, and a 20-acre lake stocked with a variety of fish. There is an abundance of wildlife in this beautiful hilly and wooded setting. Members and their friends enjoy good fishing, but no hunting is allowed.

In 1984, a property owner's association was formed to fund and manage these common properties. Wildwood Acres Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(7) non-profit social club. If you purchase property in Wildwood Acres, you automatically become a member and co-owner of all common properties. Currently, there are over 235 members. Each year, members meet to elect a 7-person Board of Directors who develop an annual budget and set the assessment fee.
